AMBER UNDERWOOD - Flute

Amber Underwood - Flute Instructor

Amber graduated with her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Wichita State University in 2002. In addition, she earned her Masters in Arts Administration and Music Business from UMKC in 2005. Currently, she is working on her Master of Music Education and Instrumental music at Pittsburg State University. She has been performing and teaching in the greater Kansas City area for over 5 years, and has been playing her flute for almost 20 years.

KURTIS COPLEY - Flute

Kurtis Copley-Flute Instructor

Kurtis is a student at the University of Kansas, pursuing degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Flute Performance. He is a musician with 14 years of experience, including performances at the state level, first chair in multiple music groups, and lessons under Dr. Fedele, the professor at KU, for over 5 years. He is from a family of nine, four of his siblings being adopted, and is great with kids of all ages.

ROSE BROWN - Flute

Rose Brown - Flute Instructor

Rose Brown holds a Bachelor of Music Performance in Flute from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In high school, Rose was a member of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra and the Texas All-State Band. At UMKC, Rose played first flute in the Wind Ensemble and piccolo in the Opera Orchestra. Currently Rose is a freelance musician available for private lessons, weddings, worship, clinics, and other ensembles. She has been married for six years and has two dogs and a rabbit.

LINDSEY KNOX - Oboe

Lindsey Knox - Oboe Instructor

Miss Knox has been teaching private oboe and piano lessons since 2003. She is currently working on completing a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in oboe performance at The University of Kansas where she has been teaching oboe lessons, reed making classes, chamber music and piano lab for music theory 1. She is also active in the community playing with local churches, universities, schools and orchestras in both the KC and Lawrence, KS areas.

JEREMY WOHLETZ - Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone & Bassoon

Jeremy Wohletz - Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, & Bassoon Instructor

Jeremy Wohletz has been teaching private lessons for over 10 years, with many of his students winning prestigious awards and placing high in their school ensembles. Mr. Wohletz is currently working on his Doctoral degree at the University of Kansas in Clarinet performance. He also performs regularly throughout the Kansas City area in Pararo, a guitar and clarinet duo, and also plays saxophone in a blues band.

AMY JANTZ - Clarinet

Amy Jantz - Clarinet and Saxophone Instructor

Amy Jantz graduated from DePauw University (Greencastle, Indiana) in 2009, the recipient of a Bachelor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance with a German Double Major. After spending 15 months abroad in Germany, Amy is recently returned and currently searching for a local ensemble in which to play, as well as enjoying her position as a clarinet instructor at R.E.W. Music.

XAVIER FLEMING - Saxophone

Xavier Fleming - Saxophone Instructor

As a music educator and performer, Xavier Fleming is devoted to sharing the joys and benefits of music with students, listeners and colleagues. His approach involves connecting concepts learned in the study of music to other arts and academic areas. This is done by facilitating the creation of peer cohesion though group practice and pursuing personal goals individually through music. Whether music for a student becomes a profession or simply a hobby, Xavier looks forward to sharing the joy of musical experiences.
