PRIVATE LESSON INSTRUCTORS
Immediate openings for top quality Private Lesson Instructors of Woodwind, Brasswind, Percussion, Orchestral Strings, Piano, and Guitar instruments, to teach lessons in person.

What we do matters! This position is ideal for someone who has a desire and ability to inspire and give guidance to students of all levels. You should be willing to think outside of the box when developing your studio goals and plans to promote each student's individual success.

We are looking for individuals interested in cultivating a LONG TERM Studio, who also enjoy teaching younger students. Many of our students are elementary and middle school students.

IDEAL CANDIDATE TRAITS:
- Candidate must have a degree in music
- Ability to inspire students and set goals
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Advanced playing ability on your instrument
- Self-Motivated
- Willing to think outside of the box to promote student success
- Interested in cultivating relationships with other instructors & being creative with opportunities to bring students together in groups
- Interested in cultivating a long-term studio

REW MUSIC TEAM MEMBER
We are looking for an energetic & outgoing individual to join our team! The ideal person is a natural “go-getter,” who enjoys interacting with others and is passionate about serving band & orchestra students, as well as finding ways to help people in our community become lifetime music-makers!

Work schedule will include evenings and Saturdays. This team member will be scheduled to work in both the Lenexa and Olathe store locations.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will focus on providing an outstanding experience for every person (music maker!) who calls or walks in the door at REW Music. Not only will you get to help people every day, you will learn about all aspects of instrumental music, from the individual instruments to the accessories that help musicians at all levels to be successful, and why. Preference may be given to candidates who have a degree in music.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
- Serving customers
- Instrument rentals and sales
- Store cleanliness and presentation
- Help with inventory product control
- Tasking that aligns with an individual's particular strengths and expertise

SKILLS
- Music background (band &/or orchestra preferred)
- Personally motivated and proactive
- Takes pride and ownership in their area of work and expertise
- Love of music and desire to promote instrumental music education
- Developed organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to jump in and accomplish any task that needs to be done
- Graphic design skills are a plus: able to work with old versions of Adobe Creative Suite programs
- Experience with social media platforms is a plus

EDUCATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE

THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a “people person!”

The Educational Representative is an individual with an extensive background in school band and/or orchestra, who serves our community band and orchestra school directors as a representative of REW Music. As this position includes visiting schools and working from 2 retail store locations, candidates must have a reliable personal vehicle and a good driving record.

As someone with an extensive knowledge of music, this person will also serve REW Music students, parents, and customers in every step of their musical journey. Building strong relationships with customers and schools is an important part of this position.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to build rapport with others and to understand their needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Developed organizational skills
- Knowledge and playing experience with band and/or orchestra instruments
- A bachelor’s degree with a music concentration
- A strong sense of personal accountability

REPAIR TECHNICIAN

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are in search of an individual that is experienced in Woodwind & Brasswind Repair. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience. String Repair is a plus but not required. Our repair technicians have the unique privilege to learn the Music Business as a whole as well as utilize and improve their skills in all facets of Instrument Repair.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in school band instruments. This individual should enjoy tackling detailed work and expect to master the art of multi-tasking to work well in our fast paced environment. We are looking for someone who is personally motivated to take pride and ownership in repairing instruments correctly and in a timely manner in order to provide as little interruption to a player as possible.

DUTIES
- Repairing Woodwind & Brasswind Instruments
- Outstanding Customer Service
- Assisting Our Music Education Department with occasional workshops
- Team Participation
- Some cross training to other areas of the company
